PDI Lighting & Home isn't just a showroom, it is the next step in growth for offering a new line of home products to the Atlanta area. Establishing our latest location in the heart of Buckhead has culminated in the 50 years of service that PDI has ensured to our customers. As a show of appreciation to our vendors and the team who worked tirelessly over all the fixtures and décor that would outfit the showroom, we hosted a Grand Opening event on March 23rd, 2023. We are proud to share an insider scoop on the event and all the great vendors, brands, and personnel who made it happen.

The evening began with our president and CEO, Coley Herrin, giving a speech and the ceremonial ribbon cutting at the storefront of the Buckhead location. It was a beautiful day as the sun shone over the large windows displaying all the great lighting fixtures our merchandising team had thoughtfully curated and placed. As the applause from outside dissolved into an anticipated conversation, the party was just getting started inside.

An exclusive display of Schonbek Iconic chandeliers and the aroma of fresh flowers greeted guests upon entering the new showroom while the house DJ filled the room with ambient jazz. PDI is one of the only distributors in Georgia where you will see these beautiful crystal chandeliers.

Guests for the evening included several lighting vendors and local representative partners, local designers, builders, and media partners. Presidents of Capital Lighting, Eurofase, Kichler, and Buster & Punch were in attendance, as were sales representatives such as Adler Lighting, Davidson Sales, Vince Hall & Associates, and Dean Coxworth Lighting. Long-time vendor of PDI, owner Cathy Choi of Bulbrite, traveled from Chicago for the Grand Opening to share in the event of a lifetime.

The PDI leadership team was all in attendance, mingling with all the gracious guests who could attend to discuss future ventures for our growing company. Proof of the Pudding catering service provided guests with Hors d'oeuvres over the impactful conversations.

Beautiful flutes of champagne were passed to guests to initiate a speech between Coley, Showroom sales manager Brea Lonze, and Vice President and General Manager Fielding Alderman. Coley, Brea, and Fielding addressed the guests with a speech to honor the teams who made this showroom possible. The merchandising team was included in the mentions, specifically Krista Swiss, who had a hand in almost all the products on display in our showroom and the one-of-a-kind light lab.

The light lab offers a unique experience to those who visit the showroom. It has three variations of kelvin light temperatures on display and a fully customizable ceiling fixture. This room serves as an example of revolutionary lighting technology and the ambiance it can provide.

It was a wonderful evening of celebration in the Atlanta PDI Lighting & Home showroom. As the speeches came to a close, our guests could take in all of the mesmerizing and unique products available in the showroom and participate in the 360 photo booth we had available for all those in attendance. We are so thankful for our team's dedication and the opportunity to bring the Buckhead neighborhood one-of-a-kind products with PDI expertise.
